"I joined CASA to make sure that children and youth do not get mistreated or "lost" in the foster care system. When I was sworn in as a CASA, the family court judge who administered the oath told us that judges need for us to contribute information that other people involved in these cases may not find. As a result of his statement, I understand the importance of providing the most complete information that I can to advocate for foster children. I also have the responsibility of being an "educational guardian" and I use my experience as a teacher to advocate for special education services for a child with disabilities. I will continue to do my best as a CASA to advocate for children in foster care."
