CASA of Camden County

CASA of Camden County, Inc is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization serving children who have been removed from their homes as a result of abuse and neglect. CASA of Camden County works on behalf of the Camden County Family Court System. Our volunteers work one-on-one with an abused or neglected child, advocating for his or her best interests working towards achieving permanency in a safe, nurturing home as soon as possible. CASA of Camden County has been operating since 2003.

According to the Department of Children and Families statistics for 2014:
  • Camden County had 1259 victims of abuse and neglect in 2014.
  • Camden County was second only to Essex County in annual abuse and neglect cases.
  • Camden City had the 2nd highest rate of abuse out of all municipalities in New Jersey with 519 cases in 2014.
  • Camden County has over 1500 children in foster care.
